You and I Collide

It’s hard to know why certain people come into your life.  We’ve all heard the adage of a reason, a season, or a lifetime.  We are all uniquely connected in some way or another, but there are certain people, special people, who come and change your world forever.

Maybe they remind you that you can feel again.

Maybe they teach you the difference between those you connect with in your mind, or in your heart, or through your soul.  All variations are good, but ah, some are just plain magic.

Maybe they point out what you are looking for in your life, and that which you are not.  Maybe they are there just to hold a mirror in front of you.  To allow you to see, to truly see, who you are and show you the best version of yourself, and in some cases, the worst.

Maybe they come to you, not for you, but for them.  You can be the calm in their storm, a safe place, one where they can rest, recharge and find themselves in.

Whatever the case may be, a colliding of two souls always has a reason, a purpose, and a potential to change everything.  The question is, will you let it?  What will you do with it?  How will you hold it?  Can you be strong enough to leave your insecurities out of it?  Can you experience all that there is to receive (or give) in it?  Even if they (or you) have to leave and you need to let them go?  Can you trust yourself enough to acknowledge the beauty of the journey and the growth of your soul, and have that be enough?
